Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. Ordinary local task, timer, reminder, and progress features can be used without an account. Google Sign-In is needed for cloud synchronization and account-based AI features.

Can I use In Order offline?

Standard local features can work without a network connection. Sign-in, synchronization, and cloud AI features require internet access.

What is synchronized?

When you sign in, In Order can synchronize task details, schedules, completion state, reminders, progress entries, scores, and user preferences associated with your account.

Are my timer images or videos uploaded?

No. Custom timer images and videos are stored in the app’s private local storage on your device and are not part of the current cloud synchronization.

Can the AI Assistant change tasks without approval?

The Assistant may prepare task proposals, but task changes are shown for your review and require confirmation. Always check AI output before relying on it.

Which AI service is used?

AI Assistant requests are sent securely through the In Order backend and may be processed by Google Gemini or OpenAI, depending on the backend configuration. AI-generated notification voice uses Google Gemini.

Why does In Order request microphone permission?

Microphone permission is used only for optional AI Assistant voice input after you tap the microphone. Your device’s speech-recognition service converts speech into editable text and may use online processing. In Order does not store the raw audio. The text is sent to the AI backend only when you tap Send. You can deny or revoke permission and continue using the rest of the app.

How long is AI history kept?

AI conversation content and related working records use a rolling retention period of up to 90 days, unless earlier deletion or limited legal and security retention applies.

What is the difference between AI notification voice and Android text-to-speech?

Microphone voice input turns your speech into editable Assistant text. AI notification voice sends reminder text and voice settings to the cloud to generate audio. Android text-to-speech is a separate device-based fallback provided by the operating system.

Does In Order sell my data or show ads?

No. In Order does not sell personal data and does not use personal data for third-party advertising. The current website also uses no advertising or analytics scripts.

How do I delete my account?

Use Delete account in the app’s settings, or follow the web deletion instructions to submit a request by email.
